Pittcon 2011 Announces its Annual Call for Topics Conferee Networking Sessions
15 Jul 2010: Topics must be received electronically by July 16, 2010. The Pittcon Conferee Networking Committee will review the submitted topics and selections will be completed by late August. Final session topics will be posted to the Pittcon website in October.

Pittcon to Participate in International Year of Chemistry (IYC)
22 Jun 2010: Extra activities to celebrate the International Year of Chemistry (IYC) at Pittcon 2011 have been announced. The extra programs include Science Week, which will serve the city of Atlanta and surrounding spectroscopy, and on a more global level, and the Technical Program, which will include sessions on how chemical research is critical for solving global problems involving food, water, health, energy and transportation.

Agilent Technologies Completes Acquisition of Varian, Inc
18 May 2010: Agilent Technologies Inc. today announced that its acquisition of scientific-equipment maker Varian, Inc. is now final. Agilent paid approximately $1.5 billion in cash for Varian in a deal that brings together two Silicon Valley pioneers.
